Bee Stories

When I was about 6 years old we had a 3' wooden cube in our yard to house our outdoor toys.  One early spring day as we opened the cube a swarm of bees came flying out.  Our playmate, Michael who lived next door, became the target for all these bees. My father, hearing our screams, came running out .  Michael started running for home.  Dad, who learned very quickly what happened, caught up with Michael and started swatting the bees off him. Meanwhile, Michael's dad who heard the commotion came running down the street seeing my dad hitting his son, and went charging after my dad.  Fortunately, as he got closer Michael's dad saw the bees and took over the swatting. While we neighbors remained friends in need poor Michael can never be stung again by a bee.

What's your bee story?
